A pair of brothers followed me to Thailand to worship to Elephant God for their career and their wealth luck.
When we were there, I asked them, " What would you like to ask ? What are you seeking for ? "
The older brother said, " Teacher, I would like to ask Elephant God why is my supervisor always finding fault with me. My qualification is a little low, so he using his authority to control me. Should I resign then ? "
Elephant God said, " He is just being jealous of you. "
The older brother was surprised and said, " Why should he be jealous of me ? What have I done for him to be jealous of me. "
Elephant God said, " He is envious of you being young, do not have other engagements so you are able to give your full commitment to the company. Envious of you being capable so he is afraid that the boss will recognise your accomplishments. Envious of you better than him. "
The older brother pondered for a while and said, " Is this really the case ? If that is really the case then he will not be a threat to me so I have nothing to fear about. "
Elephant God said, " Jealousy is a very frightening thing. Jealous of what you have but he doesn't. But he didn't think what he has that you don't. He is so filled with envy and resentment that he won't gain your respect which is not to his advantage. If he is able to appreciate your work he will gain a loyal worker who can help him achieve more so that he can get promoted. "
Jealousy is really frightening because it can lead to many consequences. Jealousy is a feeling of anger and hatred tormented by bitterness because they are always hoping to have the qualities and possessions that others have. A person driven by jealousy loses their rational so it can sometimes cause rivalry, betrayal or inflict harm upon others. An envious person is constantly feeling discontented, unhappy or miserable because envy can defile and ruin a person. At the end, you would only be hurting and destroying yourself. What would you get out of it ? You will lose more than you gain.
